From Bangkok to Phuket met on Sunday morning for breakfast and we all enjoyed the last time the breakfast buffet at the Indra Regent. Then we packed our bags yet quickly, paid our bill in the foyer and sat in the lobby. It was raining lightly and soon our friends Kay and Herbert were picked up by transfer to drive to Suvarnabhumi Airport. About half an hour we were to be moved from a very young and friendly travel agency employees to the airport.

We then strolled through the shops still at the airport, prices compared at a shop and then we were already asked to the departure gate.

At the airport in Phuket, I quickly grabbed all plans and free travel guides that I could find and bought even more water for the upcoming trip to the hotel, which would take about an hour. Nearly an hour later, we have been able to check into our hotel and Kay and Herbert were waiting with beer us. Back at the hotel we showered, packed our suitcase and set up correctly our cozy one. Then it was time to dress for dinner and we prepare. After we had met in the foyer, we strolled slowly to a restaurant in a side street called "Family." There, too, our friends and my parents were welcomed very warmly, as they had fed well there last year already.
The food was very good and after dinner we drank a glass of wine comfortably, before we walked towards the hotel. We went on a drink in a Bavarian beer garden - my mother said as we should perhaps look for a place in the restaurant, as it might rain soon. And so it was then - only minutes later, beating down a warm tropical rain nieder.Obwohl we sat in the pub, were wet, especially my father, however, that it was dripping through the cracks of the canopy. Also, a couple at the next table was more than wet. The friendly waitresses then brought towels and a small bucket. We found it quite funny and laughed a lot, also with the other pair. Only a few grumpy tourists found the rain probably not as funny, and made grim faces. After the rain had stopped we went back to the hotel, got dressed quickly and then Kay and Herbert went on a night cap. So our first day went to Patong Beach much too quickly.
